Hypothetical stories and stage of moral development
Lawrence Kohlberg used hypothetical stories, such as the story of Heinz, identify the stages in the development of moral judgment His stages were not based on the moral decision made, but on the reasoning process used to make the decision. Using this same approach, develop a case study of a moral dilemma likely to be faced by an individual in middle childhood. The moral dilemma can be fictional or non-fictional.
In your case study, describe how both Kohlberg and Piaget would describe the stage of moral development of the child in your case study. According to these theorists, is the child at an age appropriate stage?
If you answered yes to this question, what behavior is the child exhibiting that would lead you to this conclusion?
Is the answer is no what stage better fits this child?
